White Text is a semi-annual publication for contemporary visual art. It provides a forum for artists and critics to discuss the theory and practice of today's visual art. White Text not only examines current developments in art, but also maps the intricate relationship between these developments and society. Written from a variety of challenging perspectives, White Text provides a lively debate, certain to arouse a critical response from its readers.

Inaugural issue features writings by eight artists and critics with various stances

In White Text's March issue, eight local artists and critics, with wildly different perspectives, explore the possibilities and promises of contemporary visual art. To know more about artists' inspirations behind their creations, start from this issue we add the chapter “Artist Statement”.
