約40 位香港藝術中心藝術學院藝術證書課程的同學，將舉行聯展。展覽以藝術歷史為題── 這一班因主修創作，而接觸到西方藝術歷史的同學，將以個人的角度，表達他們對另一個時空的大師作品、另一個文化的歷史、及藝術史這門學問的想法。

西方的歷史作品，無論在地域、時代、文化上，也跟我們相距千里。認識它們，途徑是忽大忽小、顏色有偏差的幻燈或翻印圖片。藝術的故事，多是道聽途說。但這種距離也讓我們的眼光更獨立。在另一個國度，我們可以從另一個角度看歷史。一學年的藝術史 ABC 上完了，同學們將以創作回應歷史。學說與思想自由、理論與實踐，是展覽的議題。

About 40 students enrolled in the Diploma of Fine Arts programme of The Art School, Hong Kong Arts Centre, are presenting a joint exhibition. Majoring in studio art, these students were exposed to western art history. This exhibition showcases their personal responses to the subject – the learnt (yet mostly unseen) masterpieces, the story (or stories) of art and the discipline itself. The show addresses issues related to disciplined knowledge and freedom of thoughts, as well as theory and practice.
