Ego Systems / 身份實例 is a selection of 3 different semester's final assignments to Poly U students attending Andrew Guthrie's Digital Imaging class at The Hong Kong Art School. Students were required to create an alternate, or 'fake' identity using themselves as the subject or model. These identities are presented in the form of a photographic narrative, whether through one or a series of images.

Despite the dubious nature of photographic truth, by using themselves, their faces and bodies, by becoming the subject matter for their 'fake' identities, by putting themselves physically on the line, these students have approached the heights of artistic expression, where fiction is sometimes more real than reality.

“身份實例”是來自一群不同學期的理工學生於香港藝術學院參與 Andrew Guthrie的Digital Imaging課程已挑選出來的作業展覽。學生利用自身作為題目創造一個替代或「假」的身份。這些身份會經一張或一系列攝影來敘述。

經由攝影的媒介，學生的面貌及身體變成「假」身份的主觀因素。這些學生在此次過程達到藝術性的表現，在某些時候虛構比真實還要來得真實。
