“NEW”

NEW methods, NEW objects and everything NEW.
4. [F+to]a just beginning to know about or do. e.g:Her name is new to me; I’ve never heard of her before.

We live in one society, but everyone has their own background, their own character and their own thinking. However, is there something that can make us all think in the same way and feel the same things? For example; New Chief Executive, New Star Ferry Pier, New Laws, News, New Year, etc. How many of them would make you, me, him, her, or it have the same shared feeling?

NEW Expression - In this exhibition, you will see how these three young artists demonstrate contemporary art. The majority of artists’ works bring out their own thinking or their own symbolic expression. It just likes the products and things which create a trend. However, they express themselves in the opposite way.

NEW Vision – Now-A-Days, technology changes us everyday. We are living in the midst of instant messaging, symbols, digits and the internet which changes us every moment. In the new computer world, we are living in a virtual, hypothesized world. (The simple vision of binary digits, zeros and ones, on and off, right and wrong, good and bad reflect the “simple truth” and make people feel confident, satisfied and grounded.) The motherboard’s construction and human thinking create a NEW world.

NEW Angle – You, me, him, her and it, collectively touch everyday. Space is what they need. Shapes are their style. Let us see new space and new shapes from a New Angle.

NEW – has lots of meanings. These three artists walk on a New Road of Art and, “New” is the word that exemplifies their expression, their creativity and their self-actualization.

2. 剛有的 或 剛經驗到的 如 : 新辦法.、萬象更新、新事物等 。
3. 沒有用過的 如 : 新書、新畫筆、新電話、新房子
4. 「自新」改掉以往的過錯，使行為向好的方面發展?

生活在同一個社會裡，每個人的背景、身份或想法也各有不同，但每每發生在我們身邊的事情，在什麼情況下令我們有所共鳴? 例如:新任行政特首、新天星碼頭的前現、新法例、新科技、新聞、新年……..等等。有幾多，你我他她牠是有所感覺呢?

新---「表達」，作品當中希望藉著畫作來帶出一個問題，這就是關於當代藝術，大多數藝術家的作品都是製造一個個人符號出來代表自己。就像售賣商品一樣，製造一個潮流出來。他們把它反過來，以此來表達他們的作品。

新---「視覺」，在世界科技發展的大趨勢下，人類社會生活方式將因信息化、符號化，數字化和網絡化而深刻改變。 在新電腦文化中，「虛擬」的世界，不必然要完全反映「真實」，對於符號呈現的「表像」的探究，其令人獲得安全感滿足。嘗試透過電腦底板，由底板的線路結構和人觀念的流動所重新組織成為「新真實世界」。

新---「角度」，你我他她牠，每天也可能接觸得到、看得見、甚至擁有。空間，是它們所需、形態，是它們的風格。就讓我們用一個新角度去看一個空間和形態的程現。
